Black Locales
Tales of the Diaspora are many and here a global cross section will be selected to give life to contemporary cultures of blackness no matter where they may be. These are global stories which attempt to probe definitions of self through our politics of place. Stories that urge us to stand in the places we live and absorb the elements which truly make it our own – homes, schools, places of worship – these stories bring us into often difficult questions without straightforward answers, however in the journey of our searches we are ultimately in control of our own understanding.
